The archaeological site of Teotihuacan is one of the most important and most visited pre-Hispanic sites in all of Mexico. It is located in the State of Mexico, about 50 km (approximately 1.5 hours) from Mexico City.

The name Teotihuacan comes from Nahuatl and means “the place where men become gods.” Within the site, you’ll find impressive structures such as the Pyramid of the Sun, the Pyramid of the Moon, and the Temple of Quetzalcoatl.

The spring equinox and the summer solstice are events of great cultural significance for Mesoamerican peoples, who built their temples aligned with key astronomical events. During these occasions in Teotihuacan, people gather at the site dressed in white often with symbolic accessories to “recharge their energy.”

These gatherings are accompanied by indigenous rituals, traditional dances, spiritual cleansings, and offerings as part of a deeper connection to pre-Hispanic cosmology.

Overview

This is a private and personalized tour only for you and your love ones. The total duration is 6 hours including the transfers time. This tour includes private transport, pick up and drop off at your address in Mexico city, your tourist guide/driver, 1 bottle of water and 1 bag of snacks per person. After 4 people the vehicle is a new van with air conditioner.

Usually takes 1 hour early in the morning from the central touristic areas. If your pick up is in afternoon it can take more time due to traffic.

Starting of our tour. We like to start the tour visiting the museum like an introduction about the Teotihuacan civilization.

The full visit of the archaeological zone is: the pyramid of the Sun (the 8th highest pyramid in the world), the pyramid of the Moon and climb it, the roadway of the dead, the temples next to the pyramid of the Moon: Feathered conchsell and Quetzalpapalotl temple, the citadel and pyramid of the Quetzalcoatl.

Yes. A private tour only for you and your special people. At this moment We don’t have groupal tours.

-What type of vehicle?

At this moment We are a small growing agency. Our agency has 1 new vehicle 2025 + 3 new vans 2024. So when the tour is from 1-3 people the vehicle is a car (it can be our new vehicle or the vehicle of your guide). We use a van or minivan after 4 people.

-Is My guide the same driver?

Usually if the tour is for 1 to 3 people the guide is the same driver. After 4 people We use a van with 10/13 seats or minivan for 7 passengers. Usually in minivan is the same guide the driver.

-Cant this tour be done year-round?

No. This tour is only available during a specific season of the year, but you can check out our other options that are available year round

-Have the guides a certification?
